Since their first appearance in 2017, memes have been the tools for sarcasm and jokes. SO do these funny pictures have the potential to make a major impact in the video content industry?

    What do you guys think?

With all due respect to the popularity of memes and funny GIFs, I still think it is just one of the ways of keeping yourself entertained. It surely will be there in the years to come, however, I don’t believe it will be the only popular source of video/visual in the future.

Well its hard to say. They are a great source of entertainment but advertisement and Video/visual content are very industry-oriented and formal. They could obviously be a part fo the next big thing but not a big part.

I feel that there is a 50-50 chance of memes either going viral or becoming an absolute fail. As we all know, humour is pretty subjective, and although memes can be an inexpensive option, it requires one to stay constantly updated with all the viral trends. And even then, one can end up being late to a trend. So although there is always a fair chance for your branding memes to boom, there still remains a slight doubt on its apparent success. Nevertheless, you can resort to an occasional trending meme to stay relevant to Gen Z, if at all, they fall under your target audience.
