Summary and Overview of the Position

As a Senior Copywriter, you will have the opportunity to work across markets such as US, UK, Singapore, and India and will be responsible for creating engaging content that builds brands for start-ups, multinational and global companies.

This role comes with the responsibility of connecting and translating Gutenberg B2B client’s vision through compelling stories that engage audiences, while upholding a consistent level of sophistication to elevate the quality that adheres to the brand’s tone of voice. If you are a self-starter, proactive, someone who looks to take initiative, and can thrive in a young, entrepreneurial environment, this role will be most suited for you, as you develop and grow your expertise multi geographically.

Primary responsibilities include and are not restricted to the following.

Content Creation

  • Create engaging content for users across social media platforms for various B2B clients.
  • Should be well versed with current social media marketing practices.
  • Work with clients to create a social media strategy that collaborates with marketing, PR and advertising campaigns and research top influencers, competitors, and trends in clients’ industries.
  • Develop compelling and timely content for various social media platforms, digital media ads, email marketing, blogs, marketing campaigns, websites etc.
  • Incorporate keywords in the copy that align with SEO recommendations.
  • Ensure written materials are clear, concise, and persuasive to help bring the program strategy to life.
  • Collaborate with the digital media team and participate in all stages of the creative process, from brainstorming to conceptual development and meet client requirements.
  • Analyse relevant social insights, and best practices.
  • Execute business and UX requirements through engaging copy and content.
  • Propose and implement new digital ideas and product offerings.
  • Stay current with social media trends and tools.
  • Lead initiatives and projects aimed at growing business and client engagement.

Team management & Knowledge sharing:

  • Mentor and guide teams, plan L&D requirements, outline clear roadmaps for growth.
  • Work with cross-functional teams both internal and external.
  • Ensure best-practice development and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Guide and review work of junior staff.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality while juggling multiple channels of activity and a demonstrated ability to work independently, managing own time, and prioritizing effectively.
  • Collaborate & work closely with leadership team members to identify trends and key group interests and concerns.
  • Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

We would like our ideal candidate to be someone who can demonstrate or possesses the following:

  • Masters or bachelor’s degree in English will be preferred
  • 4 to 6 years of experience working at an Ad agency, marketing firm, media outlet.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience in conceptual writing in marketing or advertising, web, product, brand messaging and promotional copy.
  • Knowledge of contemporary media and its operations, is a bonus
  • Knowledge of B2B and B2C industries.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams, media, and clients seamlessly.
  • Good working knowledge of contemporary media and its operations.
  • Ability to build media relations with no inhibitions in reaching out to them across geos.
  • Excellent research and analytic skills building up to becoming an industry expert.
  • Ability to take initiative, learn and work without constant supervision.
  • Committed to building strong teams, looks to develop solid relationships and elicit collaboration.
