You love words. But you understand that sometimes just the right word is more impactful than a gurgling stream of them. As the Copywriter/Content Manager you would be addressing the communication requirements of our clients, who are mostly non-profit organizations (UNICEF, Oxfam India, World Vision, Care India, and so on). You bring your love for writing to create digital, print, video scripts, social media posts, and more which can help organizations promote their cause/brand. You’re a lead-by-example writer: You’ve spent several years cultivating your skills and expertise to confidently tackle any project, write for all mediums and formats, and shoulder assignments big and small. You’re used to brainstorming big ideas in content kickoffs, listening to requests from clients, and bringing your own creativity to see campaigns to fruition.
The Copywriter/Content writer will provide content for communication materials such as brochures, newsletters, flyers, mailers, video scripts and case studies, social media postings, as well as the writing and editing of core content such as presentations, blogs and other public-facing communications. S/he will work in tandem with the in-house design and video production team, bringing a proactive, strategically-minded approach to creating crisp, easily digestible messages that are at par with communication standards.
You are adept at balancing multiple projects and priorities, are not afraid to ask questions, and are familiar with the technical aspects of writing. You work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure your messaging is impactful.
Copywriting here means writing for digital, print, social, as well as scripts that connect our supporters to the frontlines of work
Write clear marketing copy to promote a wide variety of topics on multiple platforms(website, blogs,etc)
Follow industry best-practices and provided guidelines
Share visual ideas for content requirement
Partner with other team members to develop ideas that are on-brief and on-strategy
Create a range of ideas and copy that supports the concepts
Collaborating with the design and video production teams to generate compelling and market relevant communication
Establishing a clear and strong voice that reflects no logo’s communication standards
Knowledge of creating content for the non-profit sector/ UN organizations like UNICEF
Established social media and community management background including experience managing content for brand pages on blogs, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and great attention to detail
Good copy writing and copy correction experience, with attention to grammar and spellings
Project management and juggling multiple priorities
Proactive team member and team leader
Strong promotional and marketing copywriting skills for technical subjects
Ability to write video/film scripts for fundraising films and AVs
Ability to express ideas clearly and draft storyboards for internal teams
Strong knowledge of MS Office
Diplomacy, flexibility and grace under pressure
2 to 3 years’ experience as copywriter – in all venues of copy writing
Knowledge of reading/writing in Hindi/Tamil will be an added advantage
